This case-study describes the iterative creation process for a competency framework in the domain of Naïve Bayes classifiers, including the design principles that led to the framework and the tools used for making it publishable as linked, open data.

The intelligent tutoring system (ITS) provides services for both learners and instructors, based on semantically annotated course material. The system can generate learning tools like flashcards, guided tours, and quizzes, which can be tailored to individual learning progress. Currently, the system is only available for courses from the field of computer science, like artificial intelligence. We plan to expand it for further courses from different fields.
- WorkshopbeitragWorkshop adaptive Serious Games: Workflow zur Generierung einer Spielidee(Mensch und Computer 2019 - Workshopband, 2019) Hammel, Katharina; Schade, Cornelia; Adelsberg, BjornWir spielen, bauen, gestalten, reflektieren und diskutieren im Workshop mit ProjektleiterInnen, -mitarbeiterInnen, EntwicklerInnen und WissenschaftlerInnen einen Workflow zur Erstellung eines Spielkonzeptes. Der Workshop beginnt mit einem Vortrag, welcher grundlegende Eigenschaften eines adaptiven Spielkonzeptes vorstellt sowie erste Ansätze eines möglichen Workflows diskutiert. Anschließend werden mögliche Ideen, Anwendungen, Herausforderungen und Lösungen im Stationenbetrieb mit allen Teilnehmenden spielerisch erarbeitet. Bevor wir Game Over gehen, ist eine kleine Feedbackrunde am Ende des Workshops angedacht.

A major aim is using these additional insights for offering adaptive learning to highly heterogenous learners. However, to date the adaptivity is still limited and mostly predefined as well as calling for further integration of technical and pedagogical perspectives. Therefore, this workshop focuses on how Learning Analytics approaches can enhance adaptivity as well as other current topics in the domain of Learning Analytics. Thus, this workshop called for submissions in the domain of Learning Analytics among others with emphasize on adaptive learning, adaptive assessments, models and algorithms for adaptation. Three submissions were accepted for presenta-tion on a half-day workshop.
